The economy ministry wants to ensure that state-owned gas companies are not subject to distraint.

The Economy Ministry of the Slovak Republic is working on a new legislation in connection with so-called Ducky’s promissory notes. “In a shortened legislative procedure, I will submit the bill to ensure that the gas utility Slovensky Plynarensky Priemysel is protected against speculators. We are working on the Act on Protection of Interests in Gas Industry in order to ensure that such companies cannot be subject to distraint,“ Economy Minister Peter Ziga announced at the press conference on Monday.
