Slovnaft completes hundreds of millions investment
Bratislava-based refinery has a new production unit for low density polyethylene production.
The company Slovnaft has completed the installation of the technology in the new operation for the production of low density polyethylene. Bratislava-based refinery gas invested 300 million euros into the new production unit. The chairman of Slovnaft’s Board of Directors, Oszkar Vilagi, says that the new production unit will enhance competitiveness of the company and also possibilities for further expansion onto new markets. The new production unit will replace LDPE4 all previous operations for the production of polyethylene in Slovnaft. The annual production capacity of low density polyethylene will increase by 40,000 tons to 220,000 tons. Four fifths of the produced polyethylene will be exported to foreign markets.
