
Slovakia’s gas storage operator expands to Ukraine
The Slovak company Nafta has acquired 50 % of the Uzhgorod gas field for EUR 1.5 million.
The Slovak company Nafta with facilities able to store 2.74 billion cubic meters of natural gas and developing gas fields near the border with Ukraine has acquired 50% of the Uzhgorod gas field for EUR 1.5 million from American company Cub Energy Inc., informed the portal en.interfax.com.ua. Cub Energy said in a report that Nafta International B.V. with headquarters in the Netherlands, the subsidiary of Slovakia’s Nafta, had acquired 50% in CNG Holdings Netherlands B.V., which holds 100% in CNG LLC, the holder of the license to develop the Uzhgorod gas field.
