The Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic assessed the operation of four nuclear blocks last year as reliable without grave shortcomings in nuclear safety.

The Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic (UJD), which supervises the operation of the nuclear blocks, stated that the operation of four nuclear blocks had been smooth. „Based on the results of the control and evaluation, it can be stated that nuclear facilities in the Slovak Republic were operated safely and reliably last year without serious events which would have led to the order of reducing the performance, reactor shutdown, respectively halting the operation of the nuclear power plant,“ the regulatory authority informed. There are currently four nuclear blocks operating in Slovakia, two in Bohunice V2 NPP and two in Mochovce NPP.
