Natural gas from the Black Sea via Slovak-Hungarian pipeline.

The Slovak-Hungarian gas pipeline is likely to transport natural gas from the Black Sea to Austria. The transmission system operators from Hungary, Slovakia and Austria have already carried out the allocation procedure for the HUSKAT project. The Slovak natural gas carrier, the company Eustream, confirmed for the portal vEnergetike.sk that the process was successful. “The offered transmission capacities from Hungary to Slovakia were fully booked for a 7-year period and partly for the next years,“ Eustream informed. The total demand has exceeded the capacity of 4.29 billion cubic meters per year for the period from October 2022 to September 2029 in the second round of the submitted bids in October. The company Magyar Gaz Tranzit Zrt., Eustream and Gas Connect Austria concluded that the project had passed the economic test.
