The company’s positive economic result can partly be ascribed to the coldest beginning of the last year ever recorded in Slovakia.

The Slovak company Nafta, a specialist in natural gas storage and exploration and production of hydrocarbons, posted a net profit of 74 million euros last year, which represents an annual decline by roughly 5 million euros. The company’s positive economic result can partly be ascribed to the coldest beginning of the last year ever recorded in Slovakia. The underground gas reservoirs were used to the maximum amid an increased demand for natural gas. “Our underground reservoirs have an irreplaceable role in ensuring secure gas supplies. Their reliable operation was one of the factors that contributed to the smooth gas supplies for households and other consumers,“ said Nafta’s Director General Martin Bartosovic.
