The company SEPS conducted a „black start“ test on the network between the pumping hydropower plant Ruzin and Dobsina and the steelworks in Kosice.

The Slovak electricity grid is ready for the possible failures of energy sources. Slovenska Elektrizacna Prenosova Sustava (SEPS) in cooperation with Slovenske Elektrarne, Vychodoslovenska Energetika and the company U. S. Steel Kosice conducted a black start test on the network between the pumping hydropower plant Ruzin and Dobsina and the steelworks in Kosice. „In regard to increasing risks of the grid threat, we conducted „black start“ tests. The test was successful,“ informed the operator of the electricity transmission network.
