SIS probably interested in Mochovce project
The significant energy project was monitored continuously. Causes for the delayed completion of the project and possible budget exceeding were investigated.
The energy sector was last year one of the areas of the interest of the Slovak Information Service (SIS) intelligence agency. The Slovak secret service stated in its report for the year 2015 that a significant energy project was monitored continuously. „In connection with the project, we handed over the information on the condition and the causes for the shortcomings of the project and risks concerning in particular its delay of completion and possible budget exceeding to external recipients,“ said the agency. SIS did not specify the project. The completion of the third and fourth nuclear unit in Mochovce has been extended and its budget has been raised repeatedly over the past years. According to the information which appeared in the media, it is not ruled out that the budget of this project may increase once again.
