Sefcovic believes gas supplies will be smooth this winter

European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic reminded that Slovak-Ukrainian reverse gas flow is very important for the energy security of our eastern neighbor.

The European Commission (EC) is already working on bilateral agreements with Russia and Ukraine on natural gas supplies for the upcoming winter season. European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic believes that such conclusions will be agreed which will secure safe and uninterrupted natural gas supplies from Russia via Ukraine to Europe. „We will do our best to see positive experience with gas supplies from the previous period repeat also this winter. We would like to prepare a so-called winter package,“ he told reporters on Thursday.
