Slovakia‘s dominant electricity producer does not want to accept the verdict announced by the Supreme Court which dismissed SE’s appellate review in the dispute over determination of the invalidity of the contract for the operation of Gabcikovo hydropower plant.

Slovakia‘s dominant electricity producer, Slovenske Elektrarne, does not plan to lay down its arms in the fight over Gabcikovo hydropower plant despite the fact that the Supreme Court dismissed its appellate review in the dispute over determination of the invalidity of the contract for the operation of Gabcikovo hydropower plant. „We intend to turn to the Constitutional Court after the verdict announced by Supreme Court,“ a spokeswoman for Slovenske Elektrarne, Janka Burdova, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. By dismissing the appellate review, the Supreme Court confirmed the verdict of the Regional Court Bratislava that the contract for the operation of Gabcikovo hydropower plant signed between Slovenske Elektrarne and the state-owned company power Vodohospodarska Vystavba is invalid.
