The opposition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) may file a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator due to a further delay in the completion of Mochovce nuclear units and increased budget.

The opposition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) is planning to summon an extraordinary session of the parliamentary economic committee in connection with the completion of the third and fourth nuclear unit in Mochovce. “We will initiate a repeated extraordinary session of the parliamentary economic committee in order to ask the economy minister about the deadlines and funding of this project,“ Jana Kissova, the chair of the parliamentary economic committee, informed at the press conference on Monday. Liberals would like to ask Economy Minister Peter Ziga about the information reported by the media that the completion of nuclear units will be repeatedly postponed and the budget will increase from 5.4 billion euros to 5.6 billion euros. The completion of Mochovce NPP may end up in the court. “The Mochovce project is becoming a serious problem that the new government will have to address. We will file a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator if the information on delays and increased budget proves true,“ Galek said.
