The top power regulatory body without two members since the end of the year.
The top control power body, the Regulatory Board, has been without two members since the end of last year. Slovak president Andrej Kiska is to appoint the new members, one based on the cabinet’s proposal and one based on Parliament’s proposal. In case of the Parliament’s candidate, President has not yet made decision. The cabinet’s candidate does not even exist. “Slovak president has not yet received the proposal from the government and the original one had been withdrawn. President was presented two candidates for one post by the Parliament. President is now studying the nominations and will decide which candidate he will appoint after the evaluation in the coming weeks,“ President’s spokesman Roman Krpelan informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. The government has neither provided an answer to the question about the withdrawal of candidates nor the date for presenting new candidates.
