Record electricity consumption in Slovakia
Slovakia achieved in new record in electricity consumption last year, the highest since 1983.
The Slovaks consumed more electricity last year, informed the Slovak dominant electricity producer Slovenske Elektrarne. In Slovakia, 30.1 TWh of electricity was consumed last year, an increase by 0.5 TWh compared to 2015. „Slovakia achieved in new record in electricity consumption last year, the highest since 1983 when the data stated to be archived,“ Slovenske Elektrarne informed. Slovakia is still dependent on electricity imports. Last year, 27.5 TWh of electricity was generated in Slovakia.
