The number of the accused persons has not increased since autumn 2015. The police have accused six people, five of in particular serious crime of violation of the obligation when administering someone else’s property and misrepresentation of financial and trade records.

The Police have been intensely engaged with the power utility Slovenske Elektrarne for about two years. The company was raided for at least twice, both in 2014. One police raid took place in summer and was part of the investigation related to the particularly serious crime of violation of the obligation when administering someone else’s property and misrepresentation of financial and trade records. The second was carried out at the end of the same year. In this case, the raid followed the first raid and allegedly concerned the hydropower plant Gabcikovo. Police investigation in a Slovak dominant electricity producer has not yet finished. Martin Waldl from the Police Corps Presidium communication and prevention department informed the portal vEnergetike.sk that a specialized team is currently leading criminal prosecution in five criminal cases. „In two cases, charges have been filed,“ added Waldl. Police do not want to reveal further details.
