The economy ministry informed that the launch of the third block of Mochovce NPP into commercial operation had been postponed from November 2016 to the first quarter of 2017. The Nuclear Regulatory Authority confirmed a moderate delay. SE wants to meet deadlines.

The completion of the third and fourth block at Mochovce NPP has repeatedly a slight delay. The chairwoman of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (UJD), Marta Ziakova, informed at the conference „Secure Energy Supplies 2015“ that the completion of Mochovce blocks did not proceed at a pace which would guarantee optimal connection of the systems and their gradual testing. The economy ministry also confirmed a certain delay for the portal vEnergetike.sk. „The representative of Slovenske Elektrarne informed during the official meeting of experts in Topolcianky in June 2015 that the launch of the third block into commercial operation had been repeatedly postponed, from November 2016 to the first quarter of 2017,“ a spokeswoman for the economy ministry Miriam Ziakova informed. The fourth block is set to be launched approximately a year later, in the first quarter of 2018.
