In roughly two years, policemen have initiated the criminal proceeding against six people in connection with the privatization of Slovakia’s dominant electricity producer.

The police investigation in Slovenske Elektrarne has not yet come to an end. Police officers have not yet brought new charges that could be officially published. “In regard to the stage of the investigation, it is impossible to provide any further information on the team’s activity, the subject of the criminal proceeding, or carried out or planned acts and procedures,“ the communication and prevention department at the Presidium of the Police Forces of the Slovak Republic informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. The police have also rejected to comment on the investigation of the former director of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries, Jozef Holjencik, who is currently facing two criminal complaints.
