General overhaul of hydropower plant Gabcikovo postponed
The company Vodohospodarska Vystavba has not yet selected a supplier. The international tender was prolonged by two months.
The Slovaks were supposed to know the name of the company that will repair the largest hydropower plant Gabcikovo by now. The end of the international tender was scheduled for the end of November. However, the state-owned company Vodohospodarska Vystavba has not yet selected the supplier for the general overhaul and reconstruction of the power plant Gabcikovo and the tender was extended to the end of January. The company says that the reason behind this move is simple. “The deadline was extended due to requests submitted by the potential bidders for the general overhaul of thy hydropower plant Gabcikovo. They requested a deadline extension due to the large extent of technological facilities. Vodohospodarska Vystavba had to agree under the valid Act on Public Procurement,“ the head of the Director General’s Office Stela Istvanfyova informed the portal vEnergetike.sk.
