Prime Minister Robert Fico did not rule out that state will be interested in acquiring a 17-percent stake of the 66-percent stake in Slovenske Elektarne put up for sale in the future.

The state will probably not join the fight over a 66-percent stake in Slovenske Elektrarne for now and will let Italian company Enel negotiate with potential candidates. At the press conference held after the cabinet’s session, Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that the state’s priority at this stage is to ensure completion of the third and fourth units at Mochovce NPP. „At this moment, I do not care what Italians want or do not want. We want to see the third and fourth units at Mochovce to be completed. I do not care that Italians need to consolidate their accounting books. It’s their internal problem. Our priority in Slovakia is to complete the third and fourth units at Mochovce NPP and we will stick to this in talks with EPH, or anyone else, „said Fico.
