Energy Union Project not halted by hottest topic – refugees
The team around Maros Sefcovic will present the strategy for science and research in energy sector in the European Union by the end of this year.
The Energy Union Project continues under the plan, European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic stated at Thursday’s press briefing. He added that the project had not been halted by the hottest EU topic – refugees. „Regardless discussion on dominant issues, I fulfill my strategic role in regard with the Energy Union Project. We follow a schedule and we will lay down 90% of the blocks from which the Energy Union will be established by the end of the year,“ he said.

According to the chairman of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries Lubomir Jahnatek, a dramatic increase in wholesale electricity and gas prices on global markets can be ascribed to this increase in energy prices for Slovak households.
