Energy poverty battle not forgotten
Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Jan Richter says that legislative conclusions concerning energy poverty in Slovakia may take shape this year.
The energy poverty plan in Slovakia has not been buried, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Jan Richter informed at the press conference on Tuesday. „We are continuously working on this problem. We have established a working group supervised by the economy ministry. People from our ministry are also members of this group. A solution is being sought. I suppose that legislative conclusions concerning this matter may take shape this year,“ Social Minister Richter said. At present, minister says that the working group is trying to find the best identification of vulnerable people who need help with paying energy bills.
