Decree to solve problems with electricity prices
The Prime Minister advises consumers not to pay electricity bills they have already received from energy suppliers.
Following raised advance payments for electricity, the decree on price regulation in power energy, valid since the beginning of this year, will change speedily. The Prime Minister Robert Fico informed at the press conference on Monday that the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) and distribution companies had agreed to this. „The new decree on price regulation in power energy will reintroduce last year’s conditions to entire Slovakia. We act like this as there is no reason for any increase in energy prices,“ added Fico. The Prime Minister still advises consumers not to settle invoices sent by energy distributors.
