Control of distribution companies’ assets begins

The Regulatory Office for Network Industries plans to carry out physical inspections of the buildings, assets, transformers, cars, specific networks and networks of distributors operating in gas and electricity market across the country.

The Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) has begun an in-depth control at distribution companies, including SPP Distribucia, Zapadoslovenska Distribucna, Stredoslovenska Energetika –

Distribucia and Vychodoslovenska Distribucna. „The physical control of the assets begins on Monday. It will be carried out by teams composed mainly from the Office’s employees, experts on the justice ministry’s list and and other qualified persons,“ a spokesman for the Office, Radoslav Igaz, informed. „The aim of this control is to objectively indentify the extent and values of the assets used solely for the performance of the regulated activities which is the basis for the calculation of network charges which enter prices of electricity and gas deliveries,“ Igaz added.
