Construction of hydropower and heating plant approved
More than 640 MW of electricity and more than 180 MW of heat capacity will be built in Slovakia thanks to new projects which were granted a licence by the economy ministry.
Interest in investing in new energy projects has recorded a moderate increase. While in 2014, the economy ministry granted fourteen licences in line with a long-term energy policy concept, last year it was eighteen. The investors cannot start the construction of the energy sources or infrastructure without this permission. Projects which received the approval from the ministry last year are aimed at the construction of new energy sources as well as infrastructure.
