Companies should not forget about energy audits
All large companies operating in Slovakia are obliged to carry out the energy audit until December 2015 regardless their energy consumption
In addition to conventional obligations concerning business, large companies in Slovakia will have to carry out the energy audit regardless their energy consumption this year. „All large company are obliged to carry out the energy audits by the end of this year,“ director of the communication department of the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA), Eduard Jambor, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. Energy Efficiency Directive which came into effect in December 2014 sets the obligation for all large companies to carry out an energy audit. Under the new directive, it is mandatory for all large companies to carry out an energy audit until December 5, 2015. Under EU directive, a large company is defined as a company with more than 250 employees with the annual turnover exceeding 50 million euros, or an annual balance sheet total exceeding EUR 43 million.
