Russian company Rosatom is still ready to help with the completion of the third and fourth units of the nuclear power plant Mochovce.

Russian company Rosatom is currently not planning any large investment projects in the Slovak nuclear business. As the first secretary of Rosatom Kirill Komarov said for Slovak journalists in Moscow at the international conference Atomexpo 2017, the company will first wait for the completion of the third and fourth units of the nuclear power plant Mochovce. „We are waiting when the third and fourth units will be completed,“ Komarov said. One of the most senior representatives of the Russian company said he was surprised that Rosatom is not participating in the completion of Mochovce NPP. „We’ve been offering our help for a long time. It is certainly not an easy task to build a Russian nuclear power plant without the Russians. It’s such a strange project, in which unfortunately we are not participating,“ Komarov said. He says that the new nuclear power plant project in Bohunice is not topical for them.
