The economy ministry wants to continue modernizing heating companies in Bratislava, Trnava, Zilina, Martin, Zvolen and Kosice

The state still owns six largest heating companies in Bratislava, Trnava, Zilina, Martin, Zvolen and Kosice. The governments led by Mikulas Dzurinda and Iveta Radicova wanted to private these companies, however their plans failed. The governments led by Robert Fico refused to sell these energy companies. The current leadership at the economy ministry states that the current government does not intend to sell them either. “The state has no interest in selling heating companies, on the contrary, it plans to continue modernizing them,” a spokesman for economy minister, Maros Stano, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk.
