Slovenska Elektrizacna Prenosova Sustava (SEPS) expects electricity consumption in Slovakia to increase. „An average annual growth in electricity consumption by 1.2% is expected by 2026. Under this assumption, electricity consumption will increase by 4.3 TWh until 2026, which is an increase by 14.5% compared to the year 2015,“ Slovak grid operator wrote in its development plan. In 2020, electricity consumption is expected to reach 31.9 TWh, while five years later 33.5 TWh. The Slovaks’ electricity consumption amounted to 30.1 TWh in 2016.
